START7 in the final stretch of the season: These players are scoring big now

Tuesday, May 13, 2025

Only six matchdays remain – and the teams in the DAIKIN Handball-Bundesliga are battling for the best possible position heading into the season finale. It’s also crunch time in the START7 Handball Fantasy Manager. Anyone looking to make a final push in their league now needs real point-scorers. Find out here which players currently have the potential to deliver!

Sometimes, a sudden surge in form from individual players is all it takes to catapult yourself back to the top of your START7 league. Some players aren't just delivering right now—they've been consistently strong throughout the entire season, making them true gold mines for any fantasy squad.
Leif Tissier (market value: €2.5M, 841 points), Justus Fischer (€2.3M, 819 points), Emil Madsen (€2.4M, 796 points), Lasse Møller (€2.4M, 726 points), Emil Jakobsen (€2.4M, 732 points), Magnus Saugstrup (€2.4M, 710 points), and Andreas Wolff (€2.3M, 708 points) have been “on fire” for months. Add to that the league’s top performers: Renars Uscins (€2.4M, 859 points), Marko Grgic (€2.5M, 1,187 points), and of course, Mathias Gidsel (€2.4M, 1,480 points), who clearly tops the points leaderboard.
Anyone who picked up one of these players in time has been able to rely on steady point contributions week after week – occasionally even with standout performances exceeding the 100-point mark in a single matchday.
A new face among this elite group is Viggo Kristjansson (€1.6M, 456 points): with an impressive 204 points across the last three matchdays, the Icelander is stepping into the spotlight just in time for the season finale – and could prove to be the decisive factor for a successful finish in your START7 league.
Even beyond the absolute START7 top stars, there are players who have established themselves as reliable point-scorers. Over the past few months, Frederik Bo Andersen (€1.8M, 524 points), Elvar Örn Jonsson (€1.6M, 286 points), and Hendrik Wagner (€1.0M, 355 points) have impressed with consistently solid performances. Likewise, the two Germans Luca Witzke (€2.5M, 776 points) and Marius Steinhauser (€2.4M, 626 points) have been consistently racking up double-digit scores, regularly rewarding their fantasy managers.
Two names that barely registered on anyone’s radar before the season but have now become indispensable in many fantasy squads: Miro Schluroff (€2.5M, 399 points) and Dominik Mappes (€1.2M, 317 points). Both have played their way into the spotlight over the course of the season and are currently among the most in-form players.
And in goal? Kristian Sæverås (€1.3M, 452 points) is making headlines: with 180 points from his last three games, the goalkeeper has hit peak form – and could be the key difference-maker between the posts as we head into the season’s final and most decisive matchdays.
If you're heading into the final stretch of the season with a tight budget or want to avoid selling any key players, you don’t have to miss out on fresh impulses. Even among the lower-priced options, the Fantasy Manager regularly offers real hidden gems that can surprise with standout performances.
Nico Schöttle (€263K, 117 points), left back for TVB Stuttgart, recently made that clear in spectacular fashion: on the penultimate matchday, he racked up an impressive 42 points. Equally reliable are the young wingers from 1. VfL Potsdam: Nils Fuhrmann (€342K, 214 points) and Max Günther (€445K, 195 points) consistently deliver and are among the most solid low-budget options of this START7 season.
Back in rhythm after his injury is Max Häfner (€511K, 151 points). Those who gambled early on his comeback could now benefit from a late-season point surge in the remaining games.
And if you're simply looking for dependable base points, the lower-budget segment has answers, too: Thomas Alfred Solstad (€403K, 206 points) scores quietly but consistently at the pivot position for the Recken – making him a reliable addition to any fantasy squad.
The final matchdays of the season are the perfect chance to get the most out of your START7 lineup. Whether with proven top stars, smart sleeper picks, or bold low-budget decisions – those who make the right moves now might still climb decisively up the league standings.
