Before the Lidl Final4 in the sold-out LANXESS arena in Cologne decides the 2024/25 German cup winner, two catch-up games in Lemgo and Magdeburg are scheduled in the DAIKIN Handball Bundesliga.

Thursday, 10 April:

TBV Lemgo Lippe vs. 1. VfL Potsdam (19:00 CEST, live on Dyn and world-wide on HBLTV)
  • After six unbeaten games (five wins and one draw), TBV Lemgo Lippe suffered a 26:33 defeat at Rhein-Neckar Löwen last weekend. Florian Kehrmann's team is currently ninth in the table with 27:21 points.
  • The first leg on 21 February was a very tight affair for Lemgo, with the TBV only winning 22:21 in Potsdam.
  • The 23:28 in Hamburg last matchday was the 23rd defeat in the 24th game of the season for Potsdam, which are now already seven points behind second-last Erlangen.
  • Samuel Zehnder (119 goals for Lemgo) and Josip Simic (79 goals for the promoted team from Potsdam) are the best scorers for both teams.
SC Magdeburg vs. HC Erlangen (19:00 CEST, live on Dyn and world-wide on HBLTV)
  • With twelve goals, including ten by penalties, Matthias Musche was Magdeburg's hero in the narrow 31:30 away win at SC DHfK Leipzig on Sunday.
  • With 31:11 points, SCM is level on minus points with third-placed Recken from Hanover, who were beaten by Göppingen, and one point minus behind the leading duo from Berlin and Melsungen. However, Magdeburg remain sixth in the overall table.
  • With a recent run of 3:1 points in a row, including the surprise draw against the Füchse on Saturday (31:31), HC Erlangen have now stalked third-bottom Bietigheim by just one point with 9:39 points. The club from Franconia had already surprised with a draw against the Recken at the beginning of March.
  • The postponed match is the first leg between the two opponents, with the return fixture in Erlangen on 28 May.
  • The SCM has won its last six games against Erlangen, and the Magdeburg side is 15:3 on aggregate.
